Old house, apartment, new house...

A lot has been happening with our living situation.  We have wanted to move for sometime now, and with the upcoming arrival of our new bundle of joy we figured we better just do it.  I love my house!  I mean, I love everything about it.  Our main reason for moving was the backyard.  Being in a subdivision, it just wasn't enough for two dogs, a giant swing set, the garden Mason has been begging for, and eventually two boys to run around and play in.  We also decided we really wanted either one more room or a game room to help contain the ever growing amount of stuff that we seem to accumulate. Here are some pictures from our current home...

There are so many things I am going to miss about this house!  Plus, it is where Mason has grown up, and so many of his firsts have happened here.  Well, after much looking and debating, we decided that we were pretty much never going to be able to find a house in the area we wanted, at a price we could afford, that met all of our criteria.  This meant we were going to leave our desired area and go about 15 minutes further south.

We found this beautiful new subdivision that builds on one acre lots.  The homes are gorgeous, the area is very quiet and secluded, and it would allow us to get pretty much everything we wanted!  We met and talked with the builder, and he made us feel really comfortable with the decision to move out there.  So, we listed our house, picked our new lot and floor plan, put down our earnest money, and are moving to Magnolia Bend.  My only real hesitation is the schools in the area.  I don't really want Mason to go to the schools he would be zoned to, but Nick and I have also discussed sending him to private school anyway.  Our move has pretty much made the decision for us now that he will go to private school, as well as Oliver when he is born.

So, our house was listed and has recently sold, and we have until June 23rd to be out.  We have been crazily packing boxes, figuring our where to store things, and more importantly where we are going to live.  Our new house won't be ready until November, so that means we will be apartment living for at least 6 months, and will have to bring Oliver home to an apartment.  It also means we will be moving with a one month old and three year old...fun.
